TOWNSHIP OF MONO

Mono Township is most known for its bucolic rural landscape, scenic horse farms and classic country estates. Conveniently located under 90 minutes from Toronto, Mono’s location offers the unique option to be used for either a primary or secondary residence. An area that is sought after by those who enjoy a high quality of life centred around nature and community.

Proximity to Outdoor Activities

Mono has many activities to offer if you love spending time outdoors. With countless farms and kilometres of hacking trails it’s no wonder it is such a coveted location for equestrians. The Mono Cliffs Provincial Park is part of the Bruce Trail and offers trails for horseback riding, hiking, biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. If downhill skiing is more your speed, head to the Hockley Valley Resort, where you can ski or snowboard in the winter, and golf in the summer. There is also a spa option at the resort if you prefer to relax and unwind.

Proximity to Dining and Amenities

Take a drive along the hilly country roads to see the many original schoolhouses, churches and residences that remain from Mono’s historical past. If you are looking for a local experience, head to either the Rosemont or Hockley Valley General Stores, both family run and sell locally sourced products, homemade goods and delicious food, and are a reflection of the surrounding community. For a fine dining experience in a country setting, a visit to the Mono Cliffs Inn is essential. A locally sourced and ever-changing menu along with local draft beers create a unique dining experience. There is also something for wine lovers; Adamo Estate Winery in the heart of Hockley Valley offers tastings and tours.
